Social Responsibility is a crucial aspect of the seafood supply chain as it ensures that all individuals involved in the production process, from fishermen and farmers to retailers and consumers, are treated fairly and ethically. The seafood industry has a responsibility to protect the environment, ensure the safety of its workers, and promote sustainable practices. Ethical practices such as fair labor standards and responsible sourcing can improve the welfare of both workers and the environment. Transparency in the supply chain is also essential to ensure that consumers can make informed choices about the seafood they consume. By prioritizing social responsibility, the seafood industry can contribute to a more sustainable future for all.

Nusatuna has engaged Sedex in order to establish social responsibility in our tuna supply chain. We have 4 pillars which included Labor Standards, Health and Safety, Business Ethics and Environment.

Corporate Social Responsibility in our local fishing communities is a core value of Nusatuna. In the Bali area, we are focused on working with local schools to assist them with needs and improvements to water system in the schools that are not currently being realized.
